We are an assessment and counselling service based in Preston, led by forensic specialist Karly Doyle. We specialise in the preparation of court reports and the provision of treatment leading up to court appearances. We also provide generalist counselling support using evidence based strategies to enhance your mental health and overall wellbeing.

Ontrack Counselling & Consulting is a registered Medicare provider and accepts referrals from GPs and psychiatrists. With a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP, this allows you to access a Medicare rebate and engage in counselling services at a reduced rate.
Karly Doyle
Forensic Alcohol and Other Drug Specialist
Karly is an accredited Mental Health Social Worker, registered with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). She has worked with diverse client groups over the last 14 years, most recently in the areas of mental health, forensic court services and alcohol and other drug treatment.

Karly has a warm and friendly demeanour and enjoys providing a safe, supportive and welcoming environment for her clients. She strives to guide and empower her clients and her therapy is underpinned by a strengths-based approach, using one’s strengths and successes to confront and explore personal challenges.
Our Approach
We have an empathetic, yet practical approach to therapy and aim to equip our clients with the tools they need to improve their relationships and emotional wellbeing. Our aim is to assist individuals to improve their psychological and emotional health, whilst bolstering one’s sense of purpose, connection and overall wellbeing.

Our office is located in Preston and clinical assessments can also be conducted at Metropolitan Correctional Centres. E-consultation can also be made available upon request.

In a typical counselling episode, we work with our clients to share troubles, explore options, brainstorm strategies, develop a plan and enhance strengths and wellbeing. We combine a range of focused and evidence-based therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness and Motivational Interviewing.
